With any surgical procedure comes the risk of infection, no matter the setting (i.e. hospital or outpatient surgical center). It is our top priority at POASC to maintain the highest level of infection control methods even before you enter our door on the day of surgery. Each year, POASC goes through a lengthy review process that highlight the previous years surgical cases and include information such as infection rate. POASC’s 2020 Accumulative Report identified there was one infection reported, out of a total number of 2,472 surgical cases, during this time period resulting in an infection rate of 0.0006%.
